Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2025
Supercollide ("we", "us", "our") is an independent game development studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have — across our website (supercollidegames.com) and our games, including Couplescade.
We take a minimal-data approach by design. Our games do not require accounts or sign-in, and we do not collect personal information to play.
1. Information We Collect
When you play our games (e.g. Couplescade)
- Room codes: Temporary, randomly generated codes used to connect players in a session. These are ephemeral and not linked to any identity.
- Gameplay data: Anonymous session data (e.g. which minigame was played, session duration) used solely to improve game balance and stability. This data is not linked to your device or identity.
- Device type / platform: We detect whether you are on Android or a web browser to route you to the correct experience. This is not stored persistently.
When you visit our website
- Server logs: Standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and referring page. These are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostics.
- No tracking cookies: We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics on this website.
When you contact us
- If you email us at hello@supercollidegames.com, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve our games and website.
- To diagnose technical issues and ensure game stability.
- To respond to messages or enquiries you send us.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Our games and website may rely on the following third-party infrastructure:
- Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may collect anonymized usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting providers: Our games and website are hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver the service and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
We do not integrate advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics platforms that collect personal data.
4. Data Retention
Gameplay session data is either not persisted or retained in anonymized, aggregated form. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Email correspondence is retained as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, then deleted.
5. Children's Privacy
Our games are designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since our games do not require account creation or any personal information to play, there is no registration data we could inadvertently collect from minors.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@supercollidegames.com and we will delete it promptly.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- The right to access information we hold about you.
- The right to request deletion of your information.
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing.
Because we collect minimal data and do not create user profiles, most of these rights are satisfied by design. To exercise any right or ask a question, contact us at hello@supercollidegames.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our products evolve. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our games or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
